However in version 1.6, I will add an option to remove the door handling control from FSUIPC / SimConnect so that you can control them yourself to properly simulate the boarding process using multiple doors (until such a time Asobo allow you to open/close doors whenever you like). Obviously this is not desirable at some airports without jetways (where airstairs would normally be used) and you will need to use the workaround below. Once you've done this, the doors will open automatically and you will be able to give permission to board/deboard as normal from the SLC interface (or the crew will start automatically if that's what you have chosen in settings). To do this, you must first tune ATC to "Ground Services" and "Request Connection To Jetway". To enable the doors to open for boarding/deboarding, MSFS currently requires that you be connected to a jetway - you cannot currently open the doors on aircraft at will.
#FSPASSENGERS UPDATE#
Microsoft Flight Simulator Compatibility Update 21st August 2020įurther to yesterdays news about possible boarding issues due to the way doors are handled in MSFS I'm happy to confirm that there is another way which does not involve a workaround. Of course, we can only do such testing once MSFS actually provide the update. To ensure that is the case, we need to spend some time doing extended flights in MSFS without the simulator crashing to desktop ( | ) due to the SimConnect bug.
#FSPASSENGERS FULL#
It's important that Self-Loading Cargo v1.6 has full compatibility with the new simulator so that the boarding/deboarding workarounds are no longer required (amongst other things!). Since Microsoft are now stating a release date of 16th February 2021 instead of today, we will pencil in the release of Self-Loading Cargo v1.6 around 21st February 2021 pending the results of our tests (see above) - which pushes it back at least a week from the previous planned date of 14th February. Update! 11th February 2021ĭue to Microsoft announcing at the last hour that the next update of Microsoft Flight Simulator will be delayed, the release of Self-Loading Cargo v1.6 will be slightly postponed until such a time it can be adequately tested with the updated simulator. I will be making a full statement shortly after it releases explaining why it was so delayed and how I will be taking steps to improve this going forward.Īs always, thank you very much for your support :) Please be assured that SLC will be updating very soon, is much improved over v1.55 and I very much hope you enjoy using it when it does come out. Now the part I really need to say - I am acutely aware that the v1.6 update is delayed more than I ever thought it would be.
#FSPASSENGERS MANUAL#
As a bonus, it also means I don't have to update the user manual twice. Since there will be a slight learning curve with the next release, and the fact it is a full 1.x point release as opposed to a hotfix, it makes sense to get everyone on the correct page moving forwards while I turn on more and more features throughout the rest of the development. The more I used v1.6 during testing, the more it became apparent that the existing interface was no longer fit for purpose (or necessary). Now, the reason for this slight detour from the roadmap is because the way SLC works in v1.6 has changed somewhat from v1.55 and is much more interactive. This is almost complete and just needs a few tweaks to make it solid enough for general use. However - since the last update video, I made the decision to bring forward a major feature of v1.7 - a user interface update - into the v1.6 release. This is a courtesy notice to let you know that the v1.6 update is still well on the way. V1.6 Update - What's happening? 11th July 2021
